Vandaag

Living close to NYC, you have access to every type of cuisine from around the globe. Last year I heard of this dutch/danish restaurant called Vandaag that opened in the East Village of Manhattan and thought that I had to go check it out with my husband, who is Dutch.  I have yet to go but I hope to soon. Even though the design is not fancy and elaborate, I still love the simplicity of the place and the windows which allow plenty of sunlight to enter the space. The bar is what I like the best. Between the bar stools and the white tiles/brick on the wall of the bar and the blue walls it gives the bar space a cheery, bright feel.  The restaurant reminds me of a spot I went to with my husband a few years ago in Amsterdam. As for the food and drink, I will have to write a review about that when I try it!
